We’re honored to announce that Code/Art has been selected as one of the five organizations that the City of Miami will fund to advance STEM education in the City of Miami. The funds are granted by the Economic Accessibility Initiative (EAI) through Venture Miami, a City of Miami department created to provide access to economic opportunities in the tech industry for Miami citizens. As part of this initiative, Code/Art will receive $50,000 to support our creative coding summer camps across the city.
“The Economic Accessibility Initiative is an important step towards building clear pathways for our citizens to participate in the tech industry and leverage technology in the early stages of their education. I am proud to support these organizations and their efforts to provide access to economic opportunities in the tech industry for Miami citizens at an early age,” said Mayor Francis X. Suarez.
“These funds will allow us to provide more girls with the opportunity to learn about computer science and technology in a fun and supportive environment,” said Amy Renshaw, Code/Art CEO.
