This summer, the Code/Art team hit the road to connect with educators, share our mission to inspire girls in computer science, and learn from fellow industry leaders at three leading computer science education conferences: Crossroads in Indianapolis, WeTeach_CS in Austin, and the CSTA Conference in Cleveland.
At each stop, we showcased how Code/Art uses creativity and tech to reimagine K–12 computer science education.
Crossroads 2025 – Indianapolis, IN
Our first stop was Crossroads 2025, a conference that brought together over 200 educators, policymakers, technologists, and innovators dedicated to expanding equitable access to digital learning and preparing students for the future tech workforce.
Our CEO, Amy Renshaw, represented Code/Art alongside other impactful organizations leading the charge in computer science education. From reconnecting with familiar faces to forging new partnerships, Crossroads was a hub of collaboration, innovation, and shared excitement for what’s ahead in CS education.

WeTeach_CS Summit – Austin, TX
Next, we headed to Austin, Texas, for the WeTeach_CS Summit, where we engaged with passionate educators and equipped them with Code/Art resources to bring back to their classrooms. Our CEO, Amy Austin Renshaw, and Chief Learning Officer Lisa Hauser led a featured session, “Power of the Portrait,” highlighting the powerful impact of blending art and computer science in the classroom.
Later that week, we also led our first in-person Intro to Creative Coding workshop in Austin. This two-day professional development session provided 29 educators with a solid foundation in creative coding, just in time to bring it to students in the 2025–2026 school year.

CSTA Conference – Cleveland, OH
Our final stop was the CSTA 2025 Conference in Cleveland—the largest national gathering of K–12 computer science teachers. With thousands of attendees, this event was the perfect opportunity to share the latest from Code/Art and connect with CS educators from across the country.
At our exhibitor booth, we connected with over 90 new educators across the country to plug them into our teacher programs, creative coding curriculum, and coding competitions for girls. We also caught up with longtime supporters who were eager to hear about our newest offerings, including our AI + Art workshops.
