Make A Real Change In a Young Woman’s Life
We strive to put young women, particularly young women from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, on track for future tech careers by providing welcoming early coding programs that focus on art, creativity and social good.

Our Mission
Code/Art is a Miami-based nonprofit founded in 2016 with the mission to increase the number of girls studying computer science by delighting and inspiring them with the creative possibilities of computer programming.

The Problem
The percentage of women in computer science has been decreasing since the 1980s, even while jobs have been increasing. A big reason why is the lack of early coding programs that are welcoming to girls.

How We Help
Code/Art provides the education, skill-building and support that closes the gaps preventing girls from entering, learning and succeeding in computer science fields.

We open doors for local girls to…
- Compete for South Florida tech jobs
- Become creators, not just consumers, of tech
- Make the Miami Tech movement more sustainable and representative of local diversity
