Write-Up:Many young girls and teens grow up feeling unprepared and confused for puberty and menstrual health. This sudden experience can leave these young girls in a strange, undiscovered stage of life. They require the necessary education and preparation to be ready for this new phase. However, in many cases, this vital information can be too clinical, too adult focused, or not easily accessible for these young girls in a relatable way. When girls are educated and supported, they are more likely to feel comfortable asking questions, seeking help, and taking care of their physical and emotional well being. Our project is an interactive website designed to educate and support girls through puberty and menstrual health in a safe, welcoming, and age appropriate way. The website includes sections for different age groups so the information is tailored to what each age range might be experiencing. These different sections include relevant topics like period basics, mood tracking, myths vs. facts, food and health tips, and interactive trackers for cycle patterns. This website is for anyone, but is tailored to young girls and teens who want clear, relatable, and supportive information about their bodies. It is also helpful for girls who may feel too shy to ask questions out loud or prefer learning privately at their own pace.

While working on this project, we learned how to design and build a multi page website using HTML and CSS, using these programs to organize the content in a way that is clear and user friendly. We encountered on numerous occasions the challenges of the design process. However, with careful collaboration and teamwork, we were able to overcome the difficulties we faced. Nevertheless, the biggest challenge for us was organizing all of the pages, styles, and interactive elements so everything looked consistent and worked smoothly together. After finishing this project, seeing the whole website come together, and realizing that it could genuinely help these girls, it was so rewarding. Creating something meaningful that could support others made all the effort worth it. We used AI tools in organizing my code, generating topic ideas, and structuring my content. AI assisted us with organizing thoughts, brainstorming, improving the layout of the website, and helping clean up and structure the CSS when we got stuck. We hope this project truly impacts these young, vulnerable girls in a positive way. This is a passion project, and is something we hope to revisit and consistently improve.
